FAQ
Please note that rush orders can be placed and prices/timescales differ between designers. If your wedding is in under four months it’s important to let us know and make an appointment as soon as possibly so we can manage your expectations.
You will be guided through an experience that will help you find the correct style and silhouette to suit both yourself and your venue. You can try as many dresses as necessary and have time to browse and choose for yourself before trying on. Then once you have begun trying, we will assist and guide you further and ultimately help you make the big decision, if its right for you.

There is a £25 consultation fee for a bridal appointment, whilst other appointment fees differ. We charge this for exclusive use of the boutique. The fee is returnable if the appointment is cancelled at least 48 hours prior.
All Bridal appointments are 1 hour and 45 minutes, with other appointment types taking less time than this. Appointment durations are designed to give you more than enough time for the type of appointment you book.
Depending on the style and designer, gowns start from £1500 and top off at £4000, with the average being between £1800 and £2200. Are sample dresses do start at less than this. Please call for more detailed information.

Though we do not have an in-house seamstress we work directly with a local sewing studio from which the head seamstress can be present for your dress collection. Your collection appointment is conducted in the boutique whilst all subsequent appointments will be conducted at the sewing studio unless you request otherwise. Collection appointments can not be conducted at weekends, only Tuesdays through Fridays, however all subsequent fittings at the sewing studio are available on Saturdays. You are also free to use any independent seamstress you wish.
Alterations are never included in the cost of your gown and vary depending on the type of gown and what is required so it is difficult to put a figure on. Once you have chosen a gown we can give you a better idea of cost once we know what you require. The seamstress will give you a more accurate cost before carrying out any work on your dress.
On average we like to have 8 weeks before the wedding, for the first fit however we can always expedite. This depends on the dress and the amount of work involved. For the most accurate information please call to schedule a consultation.
As we do not have an in-house seamstress, we do not alter gowns from other stores, but are happy to give details on the seamstress that we do use.
Wedding gowns are made to be altered and taken apart. However every gown is different, please call for more detailed information.
Yes but please contact us directly to discuss this and allow us to do this for you.
Yes, from shoes to veils and other accessories, we can help you with as much or as little as you require.
We only advertise dresses that are either in store or on their way to us. Its good to let us know if there are specific dresses you are coming for so we can make sure they are in the store, but its only rare that they wouldn’t be.
You can make another appointment with us in store or contact us via social media to do so.
There is nothing you need to specifically bring to an appointment, however we have some pointers or you. It’s a good idea to wear nude underwear. It’s also advantageous to wear your hair and makeup in a way you think you might on your wedding day. If you look like a bride you will feel like a bride.
From experience we think that less is more in this game. Too many opinions can make it very difficult for the bride to focus on what she wants. Four guests is generally perfect. Make these people the ones whose opinions really matter to you.
To ensure a personalized and distraction-free experience for all our brides, we kindly ask that no photos or videos be taken during your appointment. This helps protect the privacy of our designs and allows you to focus fully on finding the perfect dress.
Most of our gowns are sized between a 10 and a 16, however we do have up to size 26 in store. If you’re concerned about sizing then please message us directly.
When your dress arrives in store we will let you know straight away. We ideally like to see you for your first fit approximately 12 weeks prior to your wedding. The seamstress will get to work on your dress straight away and be on hand to discuss any alterations/bespoke tailoring you require.
It’s important to bring your wedding shoes to your first fitting in order for our seamstress to pin your dress at the correct height for alteration.
In many cases, a first and final fitting are all that is required. Sometimes a third is necessary if there is more work involved.
We accept all standard methods of payment. On ordering we ask for a 50% deposit so your designer can begin work on your dress. The remaining balance is paid on dress collection and before the start of your alterations.
Some brides prefer to do this, but it is not necessary.
We hold a sample sale in February each year.
This is when we sell our nearly new sample gowns. This might be if a dress has been discontinued by a designer, or simply to make room for new collections.
Sample dresses are gowns that have been tried on in store for a season. They may have slight imperfections but nothing to detract from them being your most perfect dress.
Sample dresses must be paid for in full upon purchase and taken away on the same day.
We can keep newly ordered dresses for 60 days after their arrival in store only but this does not apply to sample dresses.
Yes this will more than likely be the case, however our seamstress is generally on hand during our sample sales to discuss your needs.
You can bring two guests with you for sample sales.
This is when a designer either visits the store or send their latest collection to the store for a short period of time. This allows you to view dresses that the store may not have in at other times.
This is dependent on the level of interest for the show.
Some designers do offer discounts at their trunk shows but this is at their own disgression.
